Tidak seperti di zaman kegemilangan puduraya yang dahulu, sekarang Petaling Street kurang meriah nampaknya. Tapi masih ramai pelancong luar negara yang datang berbondong-bondong dan membeli barang-barang jenama tahap dewata yang biasa-biasa saja disitu. Dan penjualnya ramai warga import dari luar negara seperti sedia maklum.

SELEPAS isyak, penulis pun merempit ke sungai duit (baca: Sungai Wang) untuk mengambil beberapa gambiran malam.

Nota lalat. Pertemuan dan perbincangan penulis semalam (Sabtu) dengan bakal besan berjalan lancar. Walaupun ada beberapa agenda yang masih tidak dapat diperbincangkan buat masa ini. Tapi secara asasnya, kami berpuas hati dengan pertemuan itu dan tahu bagaimana hendak membuat majlis pada bulan hadapan. Semoga semuanya dipermudahkan. Amin ya robbal alamin.

Hotel Royal, I was here a few hours before, discussing with my future daughter in law's parents (bakal besan).

SOLAT GAGAK

KELMARIN dalam perjalanan jauh selama 6 jam di lebuhraya PLUS itu, pemandu bas ekspres telah berhenti di hentian tepi yang menyediakan gazebo. Penulis tahu pemandu bas ini ingin bersolat seperti biasa, tapi disuruhnya kami bersolat digazebo yang satu lagi yang ada sejadah katanya. Ketika itu ada mamat gagak ini dari bas yang lain yang ingin bersolat juga, dan beliau bersetuju menjadi imam. Penulis sudah bertanya samada ingin solat jamak magrib dengan isyak sekali, beliau menjawab, 'only magrib'. Penulis akur saja. Tapi bila habis rakaat kedua beliau terus memberi salam, menyebabkan penulis dan makmum yang lain terus bangun dan menyambung 1 lagi rakaat.

Penulis agak bingung sebenarnya. Ini bukanlah kali pertama penulis menjadi makmum mamat gelap yang solat kurang rakaatnya. Dulu pernah berlaku di surau KLCC, bilamana imam itu bersolat asar dengan 3 rakaat saja. Mungkin beliau dari mazhab lain agaknya. Tapi kalau mazhab lain pun, takkan rakaat solat yang asas pun berlainan? Wallahualam.

KELMARIN di majlis persandingan rakan anak lanang, penulis telah diberitahu ada pertandingan rally kereta di Plaza Angsana. Bila penulis tiba disitu, penulis kemudian mendapat tahu perlumbaan diadakan di kawasan Pulada Kota Tinggi pula. Di Plaza Angsana cuma tempat meletak dan menyelenggara kereta perlumbaan (baca: paddock) saja.

Walaupun penulis tidaklah berasa kuchiva, penulis pun memandu pulang apabila penulis teringat ada pertandingan papan selaju (baca: skateboard) di Hutan Bandar. Tetapi bila penulis tiba disitu, hari pun sudah lewat petang. Hanya beberapa kumpulan belia yang sedang membuat persembahan aktiviti mereka seperti berpidato, papan selaju dan hanya duduk bersembang antara mereka.

KELMARIN penulis sudah berlarian ke KLCC semata-mata hendak menonton perlumbaan lumba kereta bandaraya yang sedang berlangsung untuk pertama kalinya. Ditengahari yang panas berdeting memeylah mencabar menyebabkan penulis hanya larat melayan seround (baca: satu pusingan) perlumbaan saja. Bunyi enjin yang keluar dari ekzos kereta yang berlumba memey boleh memecahkan gegendang telinga. Alone matcham biasa.

SELEPAS melayan kerenah pelancong-pelancong asing di taman KLCC, penulis tiba-tiba teringat ada pameran majalah Gila-Gila di Galeri Petronas di tingkat tiga. Jadi, tanpa membuang masa penulis pun masuk secara percuma dan mengambil gambiran dalam galeri amatlah dialu-alukan. Alone matcham biasa.
