HOW TO CONVERT AUTOCAD 3D MODEL TO PDMS

Issue:

How to create a step-file from a model of AutoCAD® Plant 3D into PDMS 3D model?

Solution:

• Dalam AutoCAD, guna command EXPORTTOAUTOCAD to convert the AutoCAD Plant 3D components to 3D Solids
• Bukak this drawing with AutoCAD® Mechanical
• Ekspot the drawing to a step-file, ie *.stp using command STEPOUT
• Dalam PDMS, guna Equipment application, pilih Utilities > Mechanical Equipment Interface (or MEI Import). But there must be an Implant license available.

Nota lalat: 

Sebagai alternatif boleh guna  3rd party applications to convert the  dwg-file, converted by EXPORTTOAUTOCAD, to a  step-file. But the applications need to request a trial license from the admin. It's a nuisance request indeed. Referral: SST Systems and pdmsid.
